Just over sixty years ago
the Old Tuam Society was founded by a group of people from the town and surrounding district . They had a mutual love of history and a deep interest in their local area. They formed the Society with the intention of preserving a record of the town’s illustrious past and fostering and promoting that knowledge for the benefit of future generations.

Their website look a little neglected but some of their interesting lectures are accessible.
