Hi All
About a year ago posted a request about the above but no joy as yet
ALEXANDER WILLIAM BLACK 1049968
flight sergeant RAF 156 Sqd pathfinders
have been in touch with the sqd but drawn a blank
also the R.A.F.
trying to find infomation for his mate in france who would like to meet once more has he sent me a letter asking if I could find him
its a long shot but if any one can help or has any info
please let me know

You may find someone else from the Squadron who has kept in touch. Probably the best thing to do is to try and find out where he was living at thetime of WW2 and then try a letter to some local papers.
If he was an officer, then there may be additional info (i.e. if he stayed in the RAF and retired later) in the Air Force lists.

Are you sure it was 156 squadron? Did he become a POW as l have a chap with the same name with 49 Squadron. A Sgt as well.
