Title: Photo Restoration if possible
Post by: Lazarus on Monday 14 January 08 09:14 GMT (UK)
This is a photo of my father competing at an athletics meeting country Victoria C1935 against the 1932 Olympic sprint champion Eddie Tolan.
Tolan had turned professional and came to Australia to race against Australias' best at the Melbourne Exhibition Ground, also the British Professional champion,Bill McFarlane.
My father is second from left and legend has it that the American won by a "whisker" when Dad looked across thinking he had won.
Great sentimental value.

Thank you RecycledHippie and Niksmum.
Tolan broke World and Olympic records and was the first African/American to win two gold medals. He died at 58 from a heart attack.
Tells me that my father must have been a good athlete.
