Hello again everybody
I hope you all enjoyed your first week back at work ???
Would it be possible for someone to clean and colour Uncle Dick for me, his eyes are brown and the uniform he tells me is serge blue, itchy and very uncomfortable to wear.

Hiya
Only our aunts heart to our knowledge, but he's a bit of a so & so now so you can never tell
Jim is there a chance you could do the same restore with hazel eyes please, I know he told us the uniform was blue but he must have had a Khaki one and he does look good in it
Thank you all
Liz

Hello Lizzy,
Here he is in blue , just when I was thinking , that everyone had gone mad and me the odd one out.
This is what happens when you don't read instructions . :o :o :o
Let me know if it is dark enough.

Hi oldtimer
I will be seeing him tommorrow and I will be printing this entire thread for him to read, so in effect you will be telling.
Thanks for the input

The Badge looks like the Royal Artillery but wasn't 15 too young to join up? Also was that the dress uniform ( blues) as I would have thought the Khaki would have been the usual uniform colour ? Oooer did Uncle Bill fib about his age ? ;D ;D ;D
Poll

hello Poll
We are pretty sure he would have had a khaki uniform, this is why I asked Jim if he could do another copy with eye colour change.
I am sure on many occasions he has lied about his age, but on this one he was telling the truth, it was the Royal Artillery boys battalion, he joined at 15 years and 7 months and this photo was taken 8 weeks later

Dear Liz
I am so sorry to hear of your sad loss.
He looked such a lovely gentleman, as I am sure he was. I feel sad too, as I felt we had got to know him a little through his photos.
Thinking of you. Take care, Judy
