Hi
Could anyone help I am trying to find the baptism record of a John Crook who I think was born between 1830/1833 in Hull also baptism of Sarah Crook his daughter who was born 1853 parish of Holy Trininty.
Or could anyone recommend a good researcher has I have been searching for John for eons and can only find him in 1861/81/91 census I have searched and searched earlier censuses and can find no sign of him.
Thank You Sharon

Hello Sharon
Do you know who his father was? I see that John married an Amelia probably in the early 1850s - possible marriage:
John CROOK
Amelia BONE
Jun 1852 Sculcoates 9d 247
Yorkshire BMD confirms that these two did indeed marry each other at St James (Sutton), Hull.
Have you obtained the marriage certificate to see whether it tells you the name and occupation of John's father?

Found references to a Crook family at Sutton on Holderness, which would probably be St. James at Sutton. May not be connected but you never know.
James Crook bpt. 30-7-1820. Elizabeth Crook. bpt. 12-1-1823. Both Sutton.
Parents John Crook & Hannah Lyth.
m. John Crook & Hannah Lyth. 22-2-1815. Sutton.
