Title: Kilronan Marriage- Welsh/McKay
Post by: fivecrates on Sunday 06 January 08 14:25 GMT (UK)
I am looking for information on the marriage of Patrick Welsh to Margaret McKay. I have dates of 1 February 1844 or 1845. Dates was taken from copy of one of their childrens birth certificate in Scotland. Place of marriage shown as Kilronan. Is this the only Kilronan? Do I have the correct County?
Any information greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Gerry

Hi Gerry,

I am a descendant of these two as well. Is it possible that they were married in Kilronan, Fermanagh?

After all these years I am delighted and surprised to have a comment here.
RMAC et al- I have doubled checked my information and can not verify which county. It may very well be Fermanagh, but I have no proof/verification. Looks like the DOM was 1/2/1844 or possibly 1845. That Q is raised on one of the birth certificates of one of the children. I’d be happy to share/receive any further information you/I have. Where do you live.
Regards
