Looking for George Bennett b. abt 1813? probably in St. Geo East, St. Dunstan's Stepney, Mile End Old Town, Whitechapel, Limehouse, Ratcliffe area. His son Joseph Bennett was born 1835/6 and married Sarah nee Sprawling 30/8/1857.
Any info about George gratefully received. :-\

Hi,

The IGI has the christening of a George Bennet (8 Apr 1813)  in Mile End Old Town; parents George Bennet and Elizabeth.

Have you found him on any census? What occupation is shown for him on Joseph's marriage certificate?

Thanks for the prompt reply. Marriage certificate of Joseph Bennett and Sarah Sprawling shows groom's father as George Bennett - occupation Laborer(sic). Not found definite census entryfor George.Joseph's marriage took place at St. Mary Stratford Bow in the registration district of Poplar.
