Hi
Your message is a bit sparse on information. Exactly what info are you looking for as she died 78 years ago. Are you looking for living descendants or are you researching her ancestry - please clarify
If you are researching her ancestry - you will need to supply more info
How old was she when she died which will give an approx birthyear
Was Mackin her married name or was she unmarried
If married - what was her maiden name
If she was born before 1881 - have you checked the 1881 census for her and her family
-
Hi CaroleW, Her maiden name was Lewis she was born in Jersey 1899. I am trying to trace any relatives/ family she had three children Douglas, Stanley and Joyce.
I believe Douglas died in WW2.
She was sister to Lizzy who also lived in Taunton and married a Mr
Sanford who I cannot find.

Hi
This is from one of your previous posts
Joseph William Martin married Eva May Lewis at All Saints Church (St. Helier) on 3rd Sep 1921.
JWM was aged 30 and a bachelor. His profession was an Engineer and his residence and birth was given as St. Helier. His father was James Mackin, a labourer.
EML was 22 and a spinster. No profession was stated. She was resident and born in St. Helier. Her father was George Lewis and his profession on this occasion was given as a painter.
The witnesses were George Lewis and Florence Osmond.
So we have an 8 year timescale between her marriage and her death during which time she had 3 children
Did she die in Taunton or in Jersey?
Were her children born in Taunton or in Jersey?

Hi Carolew, I believe she died in Taunton and think her children were born in Jersey.

I believe she died in Taunton and her children were born in Jersey
Where did you get her year and place of death from? She clearly did not die in Taunton in either 1928 or 1929
Where did you get the information from that she lived in Taunton at any time?
I think you need to obtain more positive information on this family. We would not be able to help with any aspect of her life after 1901 as that is the last available census
She did not marry until 1921, and if, as you think, all 3 children were born in Jersey, there is really nothing from a Somerset aspect that is available to help your research at this stage
You need to have a thorough search of the GRO index for her death and confirm for sure that it took place in Taunton and not in Jersey- it's available at your nearest main library or online via an Ancestry subscription or by payment at www.findmypast.com

Eva Mackin was my great grandmother, she had infact 6 children. Stanley, Douglas, Ronald, Jean, Joyce & Betty. Stanley died in 2009 in jersey, Douglas in 1999 in portsmouth, Ronald in 1941 on HMS hood, and the 3 daughers are all still alive. Jean lives in Jersey and Joyce and Betty in england. A possible reason why you are finding hard to find people is because half of the family spell the name MACKIN and the the half MAKIN . Due to drunk registars miss-spelling over the years so my grandfather told me. Any more info please contact me i have plenty more to share..
