You could try 192.com for surname in Cardiff area...
GenesReunited has some 'Laventure' in Cardiff and St Helier worth a go....
Difficut to pinpoint death of Ida unless you have approx. date when she died and area? As you know there are 4 qtrs to each year and can be time consuming to search if you don't know where to start :-\.
Good luck

I have just started researching the Laventure family and noticed all the indexes on BMD showed either Southampton (the family I am connected to) or Cardiff/Swansea. I looked on Google for the Cadiff connection and came up with this query. I believe my husband`s grandfather George Laventure was born in St Helier, Jersey about 1860 although married and settled in Southampton. Is this connected to the Cardiff family who also seem to have come from St Helier and how do I ewsearch Jersey records please?

Hello Ann
Welcome to Rootschat!
There are some in other districts on the index:
http://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl
You can try to search Rootschat (icon at top of page) to look for threads with that name.
Also the easiest way to make surname connections with other members is to enter your surname interests
in the Surname Interests Table (SIT), and to check there whether others are researching these names.
This can be found at http://surname.rootschat.com/ , there is a link to it at the top of each Rootschat page.
(http://www.rootschat.com/forum/Themes/history/images/english/surnames.gif) (http://surname.rootschat.com/)
The more people who enter their surnames, the more chance there will be of making a connection!
If you need help with a Jersey family you could raise a new thread on the Channel Islands board:
http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/board,141.0.html
Kind Regards
Morgan
