Looking for any information on
Margaret Johnson married John Huston
sometimes spelt Houston
don't know anything else other than their names.
3 sons that I know of
William Huston abt 1805 - 1880 don't know where he died, if he married
Stewart Huston abt 1810 - 1894 don't know where he died, if he married or not
John Huston abt 1802 - 1876 Clunes, Victoria, Australia
(to save your valuable time, this is my great grandfather and I have details on all his 12 children, all of whom came to Australia.)
I know nothing of their life in Ireland
any info or suggestions would be great.

John Huston abt 1802 - 1876 Clunes, Victoria, Australia
Does John's death certificate list his place of birth? What about occupations? What religion would they have been?- (several Hustons were Presbyterian ministers).
There were lots of Hustons around Garvagh (see Griffith's entries that Christopher posted for Desertoghill and Tamlaght O'Crilly Parishes). Also Hustons in Bellury townland, Desertoghill Parish with a marriage in 1851 between Robert Huston of Bellury to (formerly Farmhill, Tamlaght O'Crilly) to Eleanor Huston of Drumsara. And lots of Hustons in Gorticloghan, Tamneymore and other places around Garvagh.

I'm still looking for information to the question at the top of this page.
Thanks.

Without more details you might not e able to get more information in Ireland (and even then the dates are before the start of civil registration so church records might not exist for the period you need). Have you John Houston's death certificate to see if there's any more clues there as I asked you in December 2007?

Welcome to Rootschat, houston03. The original poster hasn't been online for almost a year and didn't respond to questions on this thread so I'm not sure if th Houston isn't that uncommon a name in Ulster and this Houston family was in north County Londonderry so not likely to be connected to Caledon ones.
