Can anyone please help me. I am trying to trace the ancestors of George Baden Ranshaw. He was born in Louth in July 1901 & therefore just missed the 1901 census. Would some kind person please try & find out who his parents were for me !

You will probably need to buy the birth certificate to find names of parents.
This costs £7 and can be done on line
Details Louth 7a 570 July Q 1901

As in 1901 there is only 1 family of RANSHAW's in Louth I would assume this was his parents
George Ranshaw 1853 Little Missenden Bucks Draper & Shopkeeper
Florence 1861 Stoke Newington
Marjorie Edith 1892 Louth
Annie Hulbert 1876 Sisiter in law Surrey
Marriage of Florence Hulbert & George Ranshaw 1886 Croyden
The shop Eve & Ranshaw is still going strong in Louth

I am a Ranshaw and have George and Florence Ranshaw (my great uncle and aunt) in my family tree. According to my records they only had 3 children Alan G. born 1887, Marjorie Edith and Dora E. (maybe Eland) I have no record of a George Baden Ranshaw. Very curious though!!

You may already have this by now Ian,
Looks like George was the Illeg Son of Mary born c 1847. She Married George FOSTER 01 January 1872, Mareham Le Fen, Lincs, and George W appears with them in the 1881 Census in Miningsby in Boston, Lincs.
Marriage of Mary/George is on FreeREG

Ian,
I have traced this Family back to Samuel Ranshaw and Susannah Kirk who Married 1798.
Marys Parents were Joseph Kirk Ranshaw and Mary Scarborough who Married 1831.
If you dont have all of this let me know :)
