Hi,
I`m not sure exactly what sort of information you are looking for :-\
1871 census has:
28 Hollis Street, Leeds
John Hutchinson, Head, M, 25, Agricultural Labourer, Yorkshire Seaton
Ann E, Wife, M, 20, Yorkshire Eastrington
GEORGE, Son, 4 months, Yorkshire Spaldington
Marriage of John Hutchinson and possible spouse Anne Elizabeth Drury registered Howden, Sept. Qtr 1870 Volume 9d page 135. Howden covered Spaldington and Eastrington.
John must have died as by 1881 census Ann is with Miles Goodfellow. Don`t know where George is.
Regards,
Mo

Hi Alan and Mo
In 1881 (RG11/4736 Folio 49 Page 2) there is a George Hutchinson shown as aged 4 who is the Grandson of George and Ann Drury in Spaldington.
Tracking this family backwards, they had a daughter called Ann E born c1852 who was probably George Hutchinson’s mother. The Drury’s only had one other daughter prior to 1864 and she was called Jane and she is still at home unmarried in 1881.
I would, therefore, suggest that the George Hutchinson shown as aged 4 on the 1881 census might well be the George you are looking for and his age should have been shown as 11.
What do you think ?

there is a 10 year old George at Holme on Spalding moor 1881 RG11 4735 fol10 p13
Sand holes Holme upon Spalding moor (Reg dist Howden)
John Hutchinson head mar 64 aglab
Elizabeth wife mar 56
John son 13
George granson 10
all born holme
Mary Ardington mother in law wid 90 b.Howden
he is George H in 1871 and looks like he might belong to an unmarried daughter however you need to know he is around if only for elimination purposes or there could be great fun with certificates or you might climb up the wrong tree!

Hi yonderpeasant
Thanks for the reply on the Hutchinson's but sadly this is the wrong family. it is probable that they are related, but at this stage I can't place them.

Hi DS
Thanks for the reply on the Hutchinson's. Yes you are correct this is the right George. Trouble is I have no info on him marrying, as he is listed as married in 1901 or any other info on him.

Hi Alan
On the 1901 census there is a grandson called William Dudding aged 7.
There is also this ......

1894 Howden JAS quarter 9d 145
Jane Ann Dudding
George William Hutchinson
...and....
Birth Registration
