Title: Stantiford/Stentiford Ashburton 1841/1851 census

Could someone please look up Edward & Frederick Stantiford/Stentiford on the 1841/1851 census for Ashburton. Edward was married to Joanne and Frederick was one of their children (b 1818 ).

Sorry but I didnt find any of them on 1851, tried both variations.

Try asking for 1841 first if I was you

don't Know if he is yours or not but thought I would post it anyway it could be useful


I only have the transcibed version of the 1851 census and it has obvious mistakes as you will see but I have left the Folio no ect and maybe someone with a copy of the true census will give it a lookup for you ok

Might be why Debbi2k couldn't find them in ashburton as they were in Stonehouse??? Couldn't find Frederick though

Thanks Debbi & Anjo - this does look like Edward, though (as you say)  there could be a transcription error with his wife !
I think that I need the 1841.

Hi Anjo and Slebog,

I did see that one but as I have the transcribed version too I didnt post it as I couldnt tell what Thomas wife was all about either ;D

I also thought maybe the wife was Thomasina?

Which would make it the wrong family and also there was no Frederick.

Oh the joys of genealogy ::)

Hopefully Thomas is another son and the wife was just overlooked Was Joanne from Exeter??
