Title: Talking of stewarts ?

Hi I have a child born as Robert Carson  1885 registered both n Ballintrae Ayr and Glasgow....
The father of this child was a William Stewart , A Miller of Ballintrae who had a sister Jane Stewart...
While Lydia Carson  the mother of the child was in the poor house having been admitted as starving, :(
 Jane Stewart sister to William stewart ,she lived  Tradeston Glasgow  took the child aged 4 mths and nothing has been heard of it since :'(...
Ideas please on tracing him ?

On the 1891 census there is a 6yr old Robert Carson living with John and Mary Fleming. He is recorded as their adopted son.

They are living at 123 Sydney Street, Glasgow

There is also a possible death entry - Robert Carson aged 9 died 1895 Gorbals, Glasgow.

That is the right one Annette, mother is given as Lydia Carson and record signed by John Fleming (guardian)


He died on 25 January 1895 at 51 1/2 Adelphi Street, Glasgow

Cause of death given as Nephritis
