Title: Cheshire Parish registers

I have been looking at the Parish register site, but I cannot work out the dates on it. Could someone please explain?  The site looks very useful, but without knowing the dates------I am lost!
The name I am looking at is Garner,  in Moulton or Davenham.

Hi Mavis

In the date column you have to put a 1 in front eg 7410829 = 29th August 1741

The codes for ages in the parish database are as follows

6000 = 60 years
0600 = 6 years
0006 = 6 months
x06 = 6 weeks
x006 = 6 days
hr06 = 6 hours

I just read this post and thought I'd say hello. I come from oldham also, I am living in Sydney. How do you get on researching at a distance?
