Hi
I'm looking for my 4g GM Elizabeth Goss DEWING (mn Herring) in 1861/71.
I have her with her husband Richard in 1851 in Ashwicken (Elizabeth DEWING Wife 70 yo Land Lord Proprietor Wife b, Ringland-Nfk), but not after. Richard died in 1852 and I believe Elizabeth died in 1874 in Norwich (have yet to obtain the certificate to verify this!), but where did she get to in between?
Tks, Jane

Yay - Thanks again. Her husband Richard was a brewer and left her very well off. I'm still trying to work out where all the money went! ::)

I expect she spent it on all those servants, maybe she left it all to charity
:D :D :D

Much of the money came from the estate of William Herring who was also very wealthy.
Norfolk Records Office has a plan of the estate of Richard Dewing. https://nrocatalogue.norfolk.gov.uk/index.php/map-of-the-estate-of-richard-dewing-esq-in-ashwicken
