Hi I am looking for any info the DOUGHTY family who moved to Dover between 1826 and 1853.THANKYOU in advance for your help who ever you are . :)

There is a name index to Dover 1851. Google the "Kent Lookup Exchange" to get details.
Would the family be headed by John Doughty , Ag Lab from Norfolk?

Yes the family was headed by John Doughty who might have been an AG LAB from Norfolk,he might also have been involved in the smuggling trade.

Hi
I found only one DOUGHTY entry that would fit with your family in the registers of St Mary's:
John William, s/o John & Sarah, gentleman, bapt. 8 March 1833.
Will check the 1851 census next visit.

Checked the 1851 census index today - only 1 family with no John:
f.543
Lewis, 45, born Boddington, Suffolk
Elisabeth R, 29, Ewell
Lewis C, 3, Dover
Jessie S, 1, Dover
A short way away:
f.551
Louisa, 5, Dover
Can look up the details next time if you need them.
