Title: Tarlton/Tarleton Families originating in Killeigh
Post by: gunner on Friday 31 December 04 16:06 GMT (UK)
I am living in England and  have traced a relative Thomas Weldon Tarlton as being born in Ireland c1796 who had a son William Digby Tarlton born 1824 and another son Thomas Weldon Tarlton born  c1830.
I have traced a Digby Tarlton born Killeigh     1742
     "      "              "           "        "        "           1755
      "     "            Weldon Tarlton  " Mountmellick  1775
In view of the names i feel sure there has to be a connection somewhere, i have also found details of quite a few more Tarltons in Killeigh including a John Weldon Tarlton who's daughter Isabella was married in 1812.
Can anyone help me tie this lot together please
maureen

I appear to be a little late to this conversation, but hope there might be some members of this forum that are still active.

I am also trying to find information on Thomas Weldon Tarlton born in Ireland around 1795. As Maureen mentioned, he had a son of the same name as well as one named William Digby. In addition, there were several other children, one of which was Robert Deverell Francis, who is my great great grandfather.

I have not been able to trace back further than Thomas Weldon Tarlton, and would be very grateful for some information on him.

Hello, I've only just read this so hope like Maureen not too late.  I am daughter of John Deverill Tarlton, who is Harold Francis Tarlton son.  Harold was brother to Stanley and Doris.  Their parents were Arthur Francis and Emily Spicer.  Aurthur's parents being Robert Francis (William Digby's brother) and Rosetta Jane Spooner, whose parents were.... Thomas Weldon and Elizabeth Stevenson.
Steven, I assume you are Stanley's grandson?  Is so then I think we already share all this information through my father John.
Matthew Gordon (Matthew Roberts son) has already done a huge amount of work.
If I can help, let me know.
