Hello,
I am looking for the death of Margaret Ann McGowan she was born 1868,Canada or the death of her husband James Cain he was b.abt 1857.
I have the 1910,1920 and the 1930 census for St Clair,Michigan.
or any information on their children

2/ Robert James Cain b.1889,Canada.
3/Albert Dickson Cain b.1891 Canada

John McGowan b.abt 1863 Canada I have him on the 1900 census for Wayne,Michigan and his wife Ida? that is all l have on him.
So any thing will do on this family.

Ida & John married since age of 20.

So not sure if above John & Julia are your correct people at all ??
If Ida and Julia are the same person ??
Isabelle would be about 7 in 1900 and could be the 4th child ??
IF Julia and Isabelle were a second family for John ??

Thank You for your help with the Cain/McGowan.
John McGowan that could be John's second wife Ida and Julia his first,but I really don't know,It is funny both the John's marriage with his parents being Scottish and coming from Wayne,Michigan.
James and Margaret son Albert Cain was born 1st May so that was him,then their other son Walter Cain that was his death as well,when he joined the army that was the address.

Was looking to see if Elinor Frazer, Roomer in 1920 w/ the McGowen's was related to Isabel's future husband, Keith . Not finding connection.
AND if there were any naming patterns with Belle/Isabela & Keith's children which might connect Belle/Isabela's mother as either Julia or Ida.
Curiously, in 1900, Keith's father Earnest Fraser seems to be called "Garnet" and the family is found in Milwaukee, WI

Seems to be quite alot of transcribed, indexed information for St. Claire Co.. You will need the "Search" function on your browser to cull through !!!
As I was searching cemeteries, there is a Margaret A and James Cain buried in Lakeside Cemetery, Section H. The birth dates seem off but often the children or whoever reports the information are not sure of their parent's exact birth years or could be a transcription error, but might be worth further investigation.

In case you have not had the opportunity to check a county map for Michigan, Wayne Co. (Detroit) and St. Clair Co. do not touch but they are a very short distance apart so would have been a short distance for the families to travel.

So the James Cain who dies in 1927 St Clair is a possible for Margaret Ann's husband.
Someone locally in St. Clair Co. maybe able to make the verifications or check the Lakeside cemetery records for you.
