Hi
All I have is James Neville was born 1845 in Tipperary according to the 1891census and Ellen Ryan was born 1851 in Tipperary in the same census there first child was Thomas James Neville was b.1871 so I presume they were married in 1870/71 thats all the information I have.

Hi not alot of nevilles in Tipp. In the G/Val there is only one James Neville.
In the townland of Ratheenroe.1848-1864.
I with all honesty cannot say that this is your James.Marriages did not start to be REG: until 1864.R/C. 1845 for non Catholic.
You should be able to get a cert for the child Thomas Jame Neville. B 1871.
I did notice a lady looking for Neville's in Tipp. It may be worth e-mailing her. I will let you have her e-mail address.

Hope this is the right board to post to?
I'm looking for a birth in 1881 or 1883 of my grandfather. It's rather complicated: he gave his name at various times as James Aloysius Smith and John Arthur Shaw; he also apparently used the surname O'Connell. He had a Canadian passport and said at various times that he was born in Ottawa, but he also said he was born in Tipperary.
Any ideas?! Can anyone help with the (perhaps) Tipperary connection?!

Can anyone help me please. I have a Robert Ryan born: abt 1830 Tipperary, Ireland. His father was Anthony Ryan. occ: Shoemaker.

Have you tried the North Tipperary Genealogy and Heritages Services.
A search shows Robert Ryan birth dates 1821 1822 1830. But there is no match with father's name Anthony.
The Bru Boru Centre for Tipperary South also has Robert Ryan births 1824 and 1837 but no match with a father Anthony.
Hope this is of use

Looking for a Ryan in Tipperary is literally more difficult than looking for a needle in a haystack.
First thing you need is the family nickname. Every Ryan family in Tipperary has a nickname. If you are lucky that will narrow your search to a geographical area. Some of the nicknames are not complimentary by sound but they will be understood by Tipperary people.
Good Luck with your search.

Hi
I am looking for information on the Bouchier family who lived in Coalbrook Tipperary. (Near New Birmingham). My Father was born there on 13th Oct 1942/3, to Thomas and Alice (nee McGary) he was one of 7 surviving children, I would love to trace this line as far back as possible. Any Info or advice greatly received.

Have you looked at Family Search?
There are quite a lot shown in the Irish Civil Registration Index http://www.rootschat.com/links/0cya/
It is also well worth your while to look at 'Resources and Links' lots of very useful information and guidance there.

Where did you find the census for Tipp from the 1800's? All I can find are the ones for 1901 and 1911 onlin at the Irish National Archives. If I can get an oler one, it would help me to go back two more generations! Thanks!

Do you mean this bit?
All I have is James Neville was born 1845 in Tipperary according to the 1891census and Ellen Ryan was born 1851 in Tipperary in the same census there first child was Thomas James Neville was b.1871 so I presume they were married in 1870/71 thats all the information I have.
Suspect James and Ellen lived outside Ireland by this point and these records might be for England.

Thank you!

HI
All births deaths and marriages in Tipperary are held in what is called the "clinic" in Clonmel itself, it is the register office and they are extremely helpful if you are there in person but you cannot pay for info by card over the phone.
Hope that helps
