Hi any one have links to JANE MCMEEKAN born Bangor Co Down c1828 parents Hugh McMeekan Grocer wife Margaret Aiken
Jane Married Dunn son of Thomas Dunn and Agnes/Nancy Lyons Bangor ? maybe newton ardds
Hugh Dunn died in Newton on Ayr 1881 Taylor street
Jane died 1899 top of high street Ayr.
Had children .
One being Mary who died in Florida  after marrying a Sturrok from Ayr.

Agnes Dunn who married Richard Lennox  in Irvine but died in Glasgow1990s.
Richard died 1933 never remarried.anyone in Glasgow have linkss please?

Very interested in this. I have a Robert McMeekan in my tree married to a Jane McMeekan. Mary their daughter married John McKeown of Rureagh near Kircubbin (about 18 miles from Bangor) in 1849. My problem is that the certificate is really hard to read. Robert is called up as being a soldier but I can't locate him anywhere. Would be really interested in seeing what records you have of the McMeekans of the Ards Penninsula. Thanks Robert
