Title: Owen Jones Williams - Baker Pwllheli c1876
Post by: seejayward on Monday 19 November 07 17:40 GMT (UK)
I'm a relatively new researcher and have unexpectedly made progress on my Welsh ancestoral line following a short term dead end caused by an illegitimate grandfather!

I have found that my great great grandfather was Owen Jones Williams and on his marriage certificate in 1886 was showing as a Baker living in Kingshead Street, Pwllheli.  I wonder whether anyone has any photo's of Kinsghead Street around that time or any other information.
His wife Mary Jones was living at Lwynffynon, Pwllheli at the time of her marriage - I assume she was a domestic servant as the census seems to show a stream of servants - anyone have any records by any chance?

I also have a couple of other dead-ends if anyone has done any research on the Pwllheli or Abererch area and fancies a challenge!  ;)

Is the age of Owen Williams showing on the marriage certificate as this would help to narrow any search. If you look in the 1881 census there is an Owen Williams aged 16, occ Barker (may be a spelling error)  living with a father, sister and brother.
Kingshead Street leads North West from the main square with the car parking, I can't find any photos in my collection.
I've done quite a bit of research in the Llyn Peninsula for my wife's relatives.
