Hi,
I am looking for info on William Bossons (b. abt 1905) probably in Stoke-on-Trent or surrounding area - he married Florence Stone in 1914 in Wolstanton any info woyld be greatly appreciated.

Are you looking for forward or backward information?
Using the Staffordshire BMD Index' it seems Florence was also by the name WILSON - perhaps previously married

Correction to William Bossons - not 1905 but I am unsure of the year of birth
as for if i amgoing backwards or forwards - either way - pref. backwards.

there is a william henry bossons son of william-mary living in tunstall reg. dist. woolstanton
born c.1886

if you want the full entry i will post it.

maybe not a bad idea to send for the marr.cert.
it should give you his fathers name and occ.
you could then work backwards through the censuses
if you do not have the marr details here they are,

Several but no really defined deaths for either of these names to figure out which is the correct spouse...J.J.

There is another tree besides your one,
It says William BOSSONS was born 1880 Stoke on Trent and Florence WILSON was born 1875 Longton Staffs to John WILSON & Hannah CLARK, and she was first married to Edwin Uriah STONE in 1897 who deid 1908. ........The marriage to Stone is on FREEBMD under Stoke on Trent RD. the tree has the wrong year of marriage to William, it says 1911 at St Margarets Wolstanton.

OOh....I dunno - she brought quite a tribe with her to the BOSSON marriage ;D ;D
There is a William BOSSONS age 11 Hanley (Shelton) Stokje on Trent, in the 1901, to parents William and Annie:
RG12 / Piece: 2174 / Folio 89 / Pg 33
But I can't find them in 1881! ???
The only birth I can see is Mar Qtr 1881 Stoke!

May not be the same William but I am descendant of William Bosson whom married a Florence in 1916.He was born 1891 in Fenton S-O-T,Florence was born in 1890 Florence,Trentham s-o-t(at that time this was in the district of Stone Staffs) .
My William and Florence were married in Longton though !

The William that I have (who is married to Florence) is my gt-grandfather on my mother's side.
