Title: "Children in Need"
Post by: mudge on Saturday 17 November 07 10:29 GMT (UK)
Hi all
Could I suggest a small donation to the "Children in Need" from past and present
satisfied customers / postees in the UK

for the free friendly service rendered by restorers on this site
You could just acknowledge your intent to do so without any mention of amount, so it does not become competitive!
Mudge
If this is out of order "Moderator" please remove with my apologies

For donations:-

The BBC URL is here..

http://www.bbc.co.uk/pudsey/donate/index.shtml

just click the big red button to donate.

Frustrating!

I have just tried to make an on-line donation to Children in Need and although I have stated EUROPE as the area they won't accept my post code as it is not long enough!!!  This also happens with FindMyPast.

Donation was to be made in appreciation of all the good and helpful work done on Rootschat,

Regards, Abiam

How about a URL, Mudge, as the embedded links from the new RC adverstising all point to an Amazon.com book about children.

Cheers,
China

But, sorry I didn't learn that language at School :( :( :( :(
It sounds like a good idea, I think :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\
I recognised a few words, but when strung together, the underlying proposal seems to have evaded me :( :( :( :(
Can you try again, and help improve this (and maybe other) Silver Surfer's computer literacy ??? ??? ??? ??? (or in plain English, how the h*ll do you do that ??? ??? )
Cheers

Hi Mudge,

I think China means a link to the website.  A url is the website address that appears in the tool bar at the very top of the screen.  I assume she means a URL to the donation page but I'm not sure.

I just gave my son some cash to put into the collection they're having where he works...seemed easier to me!!!

Love d xx

Well done Mudge

I'll donate with pleasure as a thanks for the lovely restores earlier this year of some pictures of my dad and his twin. Our restorers enabled an extra-special Father's day gift.

Heather

PS if UK chatters have problems donating online it can be done without charge over the Post Office counter

Cheers deddie, I have Harry to thank for that, although I would have thought it through eventually (I try to tell myself :-\)  I've got to the stage where it's nice to let other people to do the thinking for me ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
I have even delegated the controls of our new HD TV to my wife, as I've not time to read the instructions :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\  :-[ :-[ :-[  I blame RootsChat for that though ;) ;) ;)

Ah, sorry about that, Mudge...I trust the foreign language has been translated by now ;D

Donation made. A very easy transaction to do, with PayPal (although the currency conversion rate stinks at the moment :P).

A nice thought, Mudge.

I think that all of us that have had such good 'service' from these pages should donate to Children in Need, so much dedication and pleasure given to others deserves a reward.
