Cyril married a cousin of my dads  a linda curzon in 1918.I have several newspaper cuttings about him that state he was a well known solicitor in the west midlands.(1942)They had at least 3 daughters all born in wolverhampton.Would love to share these cuttings with any descendants AND fill in a few gaps in my tree.

Chris,my mother was Cyril vincent matthews daughter..one of three an identical twin..Cyril married Lindo Babette Curzon,that was her real name not Linda they lived in wolverhampton and also had his solicitors practice there. have lots of history  photos of things,I hope you are still on line at some point since 2007 and see this reply  :-)

I have a photograph or two of Lindo,or Linda as you said when she was about 19.Before she married she lived in a nice house which is now an Asian travel agents offices in the Handsworth area

Unfortunately all three sisters,one of whom married and became a doctor in Perth Australia,and including my mum are no longer. :'(

Doubt anyone will ever read this thread again, but if you do, Cyril Vincent Matthews was a great nephew of my 3x great granfather, George Elsmer Matthews. His father Thomas Matthews and mother Elizabeth Bott would be the common ancestors. Would be interesting to see anyone else descended from Thomas as that is as far as that line can be traced back.

I've been trying to find his date of death/death cert but can't seem to.
I have a probate file/will for what I thought was him but it has another wife named Mary Elizabeth, which unless he has remarried from Elizabeth BOTT, must not be him.
