Can anyone tidy up the slight blemishes on this one, particularly on her bottom lip.
A wee touch of colour, nothing to drastic, would be brilliant.
Photo was taken in 1942 if that helps with colouring.

I cleaned it up a bit if anyone wants to colour it.

These are all great.
Thanks for taking the time.
Looking forward to seeing other peoples work too.
Rachel, this lady is actually a Forrest! Mary Douglas Forrest born Glasgow 1920.
Now wouldn't it be weird if she turned out to be one of your rellies.

:o :o Ooooooo :D maybe that's why I was drawn to her pic :o :o
Sadly, I've been stuck for 2 years with mine and there's no sign of 'movement' ...
Maybe if I colour Mary nicely, some of mine will appear ??? :-\ ;D
Have only just realised ... my Avatar pic was taken in the early 1940s and her dress has a similar neckline to Mary's ...
will have to ask if she can remember what colour it was.
-
Hi Dave........Heres another to add to the mix !
Carolyn :)

Appreciating the effort.
Still not sure about the colour of the top. They all look quite appropriate but I don't know.

Hi Dave
Don't know why the colours are turning out soooooo wishy washy on here.
That 2nd colour one of mine was very much darker >:( >:(
Typical Forrest though .... being difficult !!! Will try her again tomorrow ;D ;D
I'm sure you'll get lots of other versions ;D ;D

Hi Dave...one more for the collection :D
Carol
-
These are all excellent which is what I'm coming to expect.
Carol, like the retro concept in your version (reply 16).
That's what my original looks like but without the flaws in the photo itself.
Having said that, I'm looking for a colour version I can frame for her daughter as a pressie.
Dave
-
How very weird !!!
I put this darker version on my previous post (# 13) early this afternoon ....
it's disappeared :o :o :o So here she is again ....
I'm about to try a different colour but do you have anything in mind Dave ?

Brilliant again.
The Navy one is kinda how I imagined the dress to look.
It's the sort of colour I remember her wearing.

Thanks for your nice comment.

gisela :)

Hi Rachel, thank you.
I totally agree, Vikki's work is superb and it always makes us strive harder to try to get to be half as good as she is.... I have always admired her work and would love to see more of it on here.

Thank you for the nice comments!
I know it's been a while since I've posted...I recently made a big move and now that I'm getting settled perhaps I'll be able to post more frequently.
My favorite "type" of photos are the lovely portraits.
-
Hi Dave,
You might as well have a "full" set ;D

Dear all,
I feel honoured that so many of you have taken so much time to enhance this photograph.
They are brilliant.
I have passed every one of them on to my cousin Agnes, Mary's daughter.
She is delighted, as am I.
I thank you all.
Vikki, it seems you are a bit of a celebrity. I am pleased you, and everyone else appreciate the photograph.
If you, or anyone else wants to 'do' my other photos just search for my posts on this board.
I've had amazing results already but love seeing everyone's different interpretations.
Thanks again.

Question.
Copyright
I think this has been answered before on a number of occasions but my memory sucks.
I understand the copyright of an original photograph.
When, if at all, does copyright change?
You can't use one of my photos without my permission. Does the same thing apply to me using one of your enhancements?
Obviously, the original copyright never changes. But is there a separate copyright issue on the enhancements?
That is, can I freely use one of your restores?
I hope I'm making my question clear.
Dave
-
Hopefully this will make things clearer for you Dave on COPYRIGHT issues ...

Hi Poll,
I was just looking for this thread to pass the link to a cousin.
I must have missed your last post because I don't remember reading the link.
Cheers for that.
Sorry for the belated response.
I suspect this was arund the time we started talking cameras.
Why am I talking to you here? ??? ::) ::)
I'll email you in a minute or two.
