On his war record does it list his next of kin?? wife ? parents ? I have no idea about war records as none of mine served, all had jobs that kept them at home.
I just thought we may be able to find out if he marries, then find a marriage certificate, listing a father's name ;D and then hopefully maybe able to confirm the 1891 census, also a marriage certificate would list his occupation, am I clutching at straws on your behalf ;D ;D ;D
If I don't reply this evening, I will read tomorrow, as we are having our usual Firework Party ::) one year I will say NO!!

Hello Jane, I have now talked to John's (mojo) brother and he tells me that Thomas Morris was killed in action Oct 1918 aged 29and his parents were James Morris and Ann. It seems he was born in Bargoed.
Now we are armed with this fresh info, can we see if we can find where James Morris family line originates from.
Hope you can help. Have fun at the fireworks party!
Warm Regards
