Please could someone have a look at the original image for the Knox family, headed by Anthony Knox aged 31, living at Joint Stock Colliery Pit House, Coxoe.
HO106/2391/ folio 694
I would like to know the age of daughter Margaret. It has been transcribed as 2, but I would appreciate this double-checked on the original.
Many thanks

Hi
Can't find it on Ancestry - it seems to be missing, the piece stops at Folio 693 page 47 :(
Cheers

Would you also check the reference again please? Firstly it should read as HO107 for the 1851 census?
Kind regards,

I reference number came with the entry when I purchased it from Durham Records Online It's not like them to make a mistake! However, I should have realized the first part of the reference was incorrect.
So I think it should read HO 107/2391/Folio 694.
The address is definitely Joint Stock Colliery Pit House, Coxhoe.
I know their transcriptions are usually very accurate, but I believe Margaret to have been born c.1843, not 1849.
Many thanks for your help.

Township of Pit House Coxhoe
Anthony Knox, head, married, aged 31, Occ. Coalminer, born Durham Ivert***
Mary Knox, wife, married, aged 32, born Durham Shincliffe
William, son, aged 10, born Durham Shear Burn (Sherburn)
Margaret, dau, aged 2, born same as Father
James, son, aged 4, born same as father
Fenwick?, son, aged 2, born same as father
Now I cannot find this family on ancestry either...
But its not very well written... and it is on my set of 1851 disks..
If I could remember how to save from the disk. I would have kept the image..
Looking at the rest of the folios.. the ages are all kept in order.. so there's possibly a mistake with Margaret's age.. defo reads 2

Anthony Knox 36? born Iveston, Durham living as a boarder with others in the house of Mary Metcalf 40 widow Beerhouse and Lodging House Keeper in Pilot Street, Seaham, Dawdon
By 1871 census Anthony is living with Harriet Knox, maiden name unknown. It looks like they had 2 children Frances and Jane Ann. If you need any more help just ask me. Name of place Anthony came from is Iveston. It is in between Leadgates and Lanchester. Anthony had a brother Andrew who was my 2nd great grandfather. Suzanna
