Does anyone have access to a Kirkcudbright or Southwest phone book? Or does anyone know if it exsists on the Net? Am trying to find distant relatives in these areas but with the new technology of cell phones this seems to be a growing problems. Any suggestiions?

The UK phone book is online at http://www.bt.com but many people in the UK are ex-directory (not that it helps with junk callers dialling numbers at random!) or use mobile phones.
You can search the electoral roll at http://www.192.com but it is not a free service. You can search it free to see if you get any matches though the address and telephone number are obscured.
It can be worth doing some searches of the web with a suitable combination of words or search the local papers for the area.

Hi Judy! I live in what was Kirkcudbrightshire and have the local (SW Scotland) phone book. Let me know what you are trying to find. Mary

I have tried the one link to the phone, didn't go too well. Not sure who I would look up anyway. Someone with the last name of Campbell to see if they are related?
