There is no Cartin/Carlin or anything close in Lemnaroy at time of Griffith's Valuation (1859). Also no Canning/Cannery or anything close in Tobermore. See correction below
Marriage date is same on both 20 Nov.1862 at Magherafelt
John Canning/Cannery to Mary Cartin/Carlin.

Hi it was a trans scribed copy of the marriage certificate and I also have John & Robert Canning Main Street Tobermore on Griffith Valuation Kilcronaghan district
-
Sorry- went back to Griffith's and found John Canning with house, yard and small garden but still can't see a Robert Canning in Tobermore.
-
Hi Aghadowey Robert Canning def in Tobermore he was the sexton of Kilcronaghan Church of Ireland for a long time Had two wives and 12 children that I know of .
-
Apparently Tobermore is listed in about 6 different places in Griffiths. Found what is probably the above Robert Canning in the townland of Calmore:
Robert Canning 0 acres 0 rods 20 perches- house, yard & garden
There's also a Robert Kenning in the same townland with land only which could be the same person.

Many thanks aghadowey to you and your colleagues for all your help
