i really do not know where to put this but i am looking for my friend grandmother these are the details i have
Catherine McLaren Sneddon Brown
B.Oct 16 1900 in Wattston...Airdrie
Father..George Brown
Mother.Mary Donaldson
She emigrated in 1926 to Canada on the S.S.Doric..arrived in Quebec..think it was Nov.1926
Gave her destination as a womens hostel in Carlton Street..Toronto
i do not know if she stayed in canada or went somewhere else any help would be brilliant

I think the Women's Christian Temperance Union was on Carlton St., and that they had a hostel. Not absolutely positive of the location though, and not sure what good it would do you to know this! It was a fairly large building, and I remember that it had a swimming pool in it.
