Post by: bananachip on Tuesday 23 October 07 22:04 BST (UK)
Hi

Looking for information on the following people:

David Morgan LLEWELLYN
Born: About 1873
Died May 1961 Llanelly Aged 88 years

I know he had one son (my great grandfather):

David Thomas Llewellyn
Born: 08 June 1905 Llanelly
Died: 27 September 1969 Llanelly
Married: September 1927 Llanelly to Lizzie Jane Paynter.

I would really like to know more information on David Morgan Llewellyn.

Regards

Bananachip

I have just found out that Thomas Llewellyn and Mary Morgan may not be connected to the family I am tracing. I was given that information by a family member

I am still trying to trace information on David Morgan Llewellyn.  I can trace him on the 1881 census but he seems to disappear after that. I can't even seem to find a marriage for him. His son is David Thomas Llewellyn born 1905 in Llanelli.

Can you put up the 1881 census info only one i can find is David Morgan Llewellyn who is 6 months in 1881 living with parents Willaim and Rachel but that gives him birthdate of 1880? not 1872 I gather this is not the right one.

Sending for David Thomas Llewellyns birth cert will give you his Mothers name.Easier then to find the marriage

This is the one in the same David Morgan Llewellyn that I found on the 1881 census.  He is listed on the 1901 census as Daniel Lllewellyn.

It is a bit of a puzzle as I have seen a copy of his death certificate and he died in May 1961 aged 88 years, which means that his date of birth should be 1872.

I think I will have to bite the bullet and speak to my relatives again and see if they can shed anymore light on it.
