Hi All,
I am now looking for Peter and Mary Mctaggart both born in Islay ca 1840, married in Glasgow 1868, on the 1881 census living in 43 Raglan Street, Glasgow, with son Angus (born ca 1879), daughter Bell on Islay at the time.
Peter was a cartwright and Mary's maiden name was Calder.
Thanks Caz
PS
Mary is the cousin of the Mary McTaggart I have posted about.

The Russell Street McTaggarts are ancestors of mine too, they finally settled in kilbirnie (where they still are, its where I grew up), I know they couldnt speak any English only Gaelic. I have a family tree to share with you if you want

Hi Joseph,
The Mary Calder who married Peter McTaggart was cousin of my great grandmother Mary Calder who married John McTaggart in 1874.

Im enclosing my tree, (in pdf and text) and the index of names is at the end, it contains Russell Street Glasgow as well as the Ayrshire and Islay ones, I wanted to post the index of names separately but its too big to fit on one post here.
