Peter & Lucy were buried in Fareham.
Since Peter died in 1805, it seems likely that the will at Hamsphire Record Office, proved in 1806, is his. Listed as a mercer of Gosport. And Lucy's will is there too in 1824. It would be worth getting a copy of those to see who the children (if any) were.

i think Hampshire & The Isle of Wight come udner the one county

The Isle of Wight would be classed as Hampshire but not all parishes of the Isle of Wight have records available online. There are over twenty parishes on the island. Is there a clue as to where they came from in the wills. Personally I am curious about the burial place. If they lived in Gosport, why were they buried in Fareham? It would be worth investigating to see if there are any connections there. Unfortunately Fareham records don't seem available online except on the IGI. Then there are gaps in the baptisms for the time period you need. There are very few records on the knightroots site for the period that you might require in Fareham. :(

Thanks for the reply nell.
there is no clue in either of their wills, only naming their children, no mention of any other family member unfortunatly.
This is the info i have...
Peter Kneller was bap in Fareham in 1748, his father also Peter bap 1723 in fareham and he is also buried there in 1785.
Peter and Lucy im thinking may have married in Fareham too (seen as they were buried there) abt 1774/5
their first child William was bap in Gosport in 1775 he died before 1780.
second child Peter was born and bap in Alverstoke in 1777.
the rest of the children were all born in gosport.
The only very small clue as to lucys maidename is that second son peter named his only child Harriot Somerville Kneller, harriot was also the name of his wife. but i dont know where Somerville came from.
Sorry to go on :(

Hi,
I hope you see this as your post on this subject seems quite old.
I have a Henry Edom marrying an Ann Kneller in 1835 in Botley, Hampshire. Ann could be Ann Sophia Kneller, daughter of Alexander and Jane christened 25th Jan 1818. I think that Ann had a child, Amelia, in 1836, but then turned up married to Patrick Robert Macdonald in 1851 in St Heliers, Jersey, Channel Islands. Her daughter was now named Amelia Edom Macdonald.
I can't find out any further information on these families and so I'm hoping you have come across these in your research? Any guidance is appreciated.
Kind regards
Paul
