Hi,

could someone please check if there is a record of an Augustus Lewis born around 1844 in Abergavenny for me?

I'm particularly interested in the names of the parents if possible.

No parents shown, you would have to order the certificate, if you think that may be the one, I will have a look on the 51 census

Thanks for that.

I already have my Augustus in the 1851 census in Whitchurch, Glamorgan.
I had been unable to find any record of his birth in Glamorgan and since I know that other members of the family had been around the Abergavenny area I thought it was worth a try to see if for some reason his birth had been recorded there instead.

I'll send off for the certificate to see if it is him.
