Title: 10 St Johns Lane, Clerkenwell 1861
Post by: Tricker on Sunday 14 October 07 12:22 BST (UK)
Two of my ancestors from suffolk, got married on 25th December 1861 at St johns church and are both listed as resident at 10 St johns Lane. They were Edgar Tricker and Sarah Hearne.

As far as I know they both lived in suffolk, so was this a run away from home and get married event. Can anyone lookup the address and tell me what was there at that time - a hotel perhaps, or other residents that might identify a family connection ?

thanks

Dennis Tricker, Ipswich UK

Hi Ricky, thanks for the quick reply.

I take it then that it was just a normal residence, I don't recognize any of those names. The mystery deepens !

Thanks again

Dennis

Hi Tricker,

The family found by Ricky (1861 census) could have moved by the time of the wedding.  My London families seem to change addresses very frequently.

Thanks all,

The witnesses on the certificate were Frederic and Emily Hunt, do they appear in any of the ajoining houses ?
