Hello beautiful people,
No I didn't throw in the towel! no, not yet, but it was close ha ha, marvellous what a couple of straight scotchs can do!
I have a query about someone that might be easier to find ???, I have only had limited success to date so I am hoping a very kind person can help me out.
Mercy MOBBS b c1797 Bromley MDX, died? place?
Married James MILNE 24 Mar 1817 in St Dunstans Stepney(east or west I don"t know), James was born c1780 in Scotland, Aberdeenshire I think, not sure.
1841 Census James is listed as Thomas Milnes, but everything else is consistent, living with wife and family at 3 St Marys St Poplar.
1851 Census James and Mercy living with George and John at 16 William St Poplar, still listed as Mariner.
Children:
Ellen b5/2/1821, James Thomas b18/7/1823, George William b8/1/1828 d9/11/1906, Robert b1831, John Edward b1835.
Regards,
Ozzyal ;)

Its been a long time since this was posted but Mercy Mobbs/Milne is one of my ancestors. Wondered how you were related to her and if you had an other information.
Think she may have been related to Mobbs who were transported.
Any info welcome.
