Seeking info on James Templeton, born in Dallas, Morayshire, Scotland in 1910 and who arrived in Canada 1928 destination Alberta, Calgary.
I believe he was in the Canadian armed forces during WWII.
Can anyone give me leads on how to get more info on him.

Alberta isn't covered very well I am afraid as far as genealogy research goes... ::) and privacy laws will keep you from finding out much because of the year.... The best we can do is probably give you the http://findaperson.canada-411.ca site where you can try posting a note of inquiry, but I imagine there will be several with that surname...
here is our posting of resources in Alberta...but again, Calgary is not covered all that well....

Having a great deal of difficulty with the site the last few weeks but Canadian National Archives has immigration records (1925-1935).

I've been having troubles too, but it seems that have revamped the site since the new series Who Do You Think You Are is now on Canadian Television and during the show, quite a few commercials advertising the site, hopefully that means they are going to add some goodies to it as well ;D like maybe indexed passenger lists

Myself, the databases do not work as well as they used to...Have you not noticed this, or is it my browsers? ::) J.J.
