My Great Great Grandfather Donald MacDonald born about 1815 ( son of i
think Peter and Bella Muir) in Glenmositon i believe and his was Mary
Gray, they had 5 children Janet also known as Seonad (1847) , Peter
(1849) Hellen (1854), Eliza(1857) and John 1861. Any information or
connections would be great as i really know little about the family
apart from the fact the MacDonald were one of the 12 families living in
Acnaconoran i believe and they were the Archie's branch

MacFC, My name is also Donald MacDonald and Donald MacDonald was also my great great grandfather. He was known as "the Kerrier" as he "Carried" deliveries up and down Glenmoriston. He was also a noted bonesetter and amateur vet. One story from my father tells how he broke a bone of his own once. He was unhappy with how it had been set by someone else and after rebreaking the bone himself he reset it himself. My great grandfather was Peter "Ruadh" (named after his red hair) who was the piermaster at Invermoriston.

MacFc - more information for you. Donald's daughter Seonad (janet) married Archibald MacDonald and it is he who gives the name to the Archie branch of the MacDonalds. Donald's son Peter "Ruadh" was the piermaster as was his son Danny the Pier (Donald MacDonald) my grandfather) and he gives the name "the Pier" to my branch of the MacDonalds.

Hello Donald the Pier, just wondering if you are still monitoring these forums? I have a couple of questions I am hoping to ask you if possible.
