Would some please look-up a marriage on Pallots Index? I'm looking for the marriage of Catherine Beales to a Griffiths between 1890 and 1907. Catherine was born between 1870 and 1871 and was living in London up until her death in 1924. I've failed to find her or Griffiths on any census on Ancestry BDM. I know from her second marriage in 1911 that she was previously married to a Griffiths and was a widow.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi :)
Have you got it the right way round? What does it say? "Late Griffiths formerly Beales"? or the other way round?
Just wondering because theres this possible marriage on freebmd -
George Beal June 1893 St Saviour Vol 1d Page 460
Brides - Catherine Griffiths, Emma Jane Rumballs
(2 brides listed, 3 grooms)
:-\
Theres also a George Beales (age 35 carman b. Southwark) and wife Catherine (age 33 b. Limehouse) in Southwark on 1901 census (+ children Catherine 9, James 6, Elizabeth 4 and George 2)
Regards
Catherine :)

Catone, On her marriage certificate to a James Wannell, (1911) it states fathers names as Beales. However, there is a Southwark connection furthermore, she had a daughter Elizabeth.
-
Whats the full name of her father/occupation, might be easier to trace her through the censuses with her father, then maybe find her with husband, will keep looking :-\
-
Catone - thanks your help is appreciated. Her father was John Beales and was listed as Laborer/Brick layer.
-
Well nothings jumping out at me yet :-\ I dont suppose it gave her age on her marriage cert to narrow it down a bit??
-
Catone - it says she was 41 in 1911 which makes her born around 1870. I've not been able to trace her second husbands birth or indeed his first marriage either.
-
Do you know of any children from her first marriage??
-
Is her second husband James Wannell, the one in 1891 (age 15) with parents James and Louisa + siblings at 26 Alice Street, Leather Market, Bermondsey, London RG12/371 Folio 54 Page 18
-
Scrap the above, I think its meant to be Jane, not James as age is in female column :-\
-
There is a James with the family but hes only 6! :-\
-
Catherine had we believe at least 2 children from her first marriage, one a girl Elizabeth. She married James Wannell born about 1860 and the son of Richard Wannell.
-
Well this appears to be Richard Wannell, with his family. Maybe we can fill in the gap in census years -

Catone - that's brilliant, Richard was described as a Hawker on the marriage certificate of James and Catherine. It's given me a further lead to follow-up on. Thanks so much.
