Hi,
I'm fairly new to this whole genealogy lark, however, I thought that having found this site I'd see if anyone could help with this part of my family.
My Grandmother was Francis Savill (b 20 Oct 1904), the youngest of 17 children, sixteen of which survived to adulthood and got married. Her father was David Savill (b. 1855, Brentwood) and her mother was Clara (nee Colman, b. 1858 Great Bursted). The family home was in High St, Billericay.
I have a little information, but with such a huge family I wondered if there was any one out there who could help fill in some of the gaps.
Thanks for any assistance,
Steve Holmes

Hi Steve. Have only just found your site, and was very interested. My Grandfather was Stephen, brother to your Francis. Stephen came to Australia in1910, travelling with his Brothers in Law Robert and Arthur Stringer, husbands of Phoebe and Daisy. I have some of the F.H. but would love to hear more, In about 1938 or so , I remember my Fathers Auntie Violet coming out to Australia. I believe she married Reginald Clarke. I hope to hear from you if that is possible, Yours in the family Gwen (nee Savill)
-
Dear Steve, Just another addition to the F.H. Stephen's (David's Father) second wife was Mary Thatcher. Yours Gwen

Frances is my husband's grand Aunt. His grandfather was William George the brother of Frances. I have gone back ten generations with Savill's in Essex. The family can be found on Ancestry. I am in the process of checking information as some of my information came from hints. One interesting discovery is that Albert brother of William George and Frances was a bigamist when he remarried in Australia leaving his first wife and daughter in the UK.

Hi,
I too am chasing the family tree on the Savill and Stringer lines. My husband is a desendant of Arthur David Stringer, son of Arthur stringer who married Daisy SAvill.
I am trying to track any birth/death cert or any photos. If anyone has any they could share please contact me.
I would dearly love to hear some stories about the family.
Merry Christmas all!
Belinda
