-
There is an even older Churchyard in Bathgate, quite small, I will have a look there when I get a chance.
-
Hi Mosstrooper,
Thanks for you help, there is no rush if you get a chance that would be great, regards Billy.
-
I had a walk through the oldest Churchyard in Bathgate, there are two headstones for Anderson, but none for the names you are looking for.
-
Hi Mosstrooper/
Thanks for looking for the grave stone, out of curiosity what were the names on the Anderson grave stones that you found,
many thanks Billy.
-
Here are photos of the two stones, they should be big enough for you to read them, but if you have any trouble let me know and I will give a tanscription.
Because of the size I will put them on separate messages.
-
Stone number 2.
This stone has a smaller stone at the foot showing only the name Anderson from an earlier date 1848, so there are other members of the family in here. I will show this in the third photo.
-
Stone number 3 at the foot of the upright stone.
-
Hi Mosstrooper
Thank you so much for the photos of the Anderson grave stones.
I can not claim them as ancestors though I am sure most Andersons at the time in Bathgate could have been related.
I do look up for gravestones in The Kew cemetery here in Melbourne you must give me a crash course in putting photos onto this site! it would come in handy, many thanks again. Billy,

Billy,
Attaching a photo here is much easier than many other sites. When you are composing a message look below the typing box and you will see a message in blue writing saying " Attach a photograph or image (and other options).. " click on that and you will get two little exta boxes saying "browse" click on one of those and that will take you to where the photos are stored on your computer, usually My Pictures, click on the photo you want and it will be attached to your message. Be careful of the size, 500kb is the max size allowed.
-
Mosstrooper,
Thanks for that,regards Billy.

I sent a letter to West Lothian Council,High Street, Linlithgow to enquire about my Grandfather's grave and they sent me the Lair Number and it was easy to find.
Send them the name and date of death of who you are looking for and where you think they are buried and they will help you. Good Luck!
