Hi I just got a result on a marriage look up. Could somone please do a look up for a William Beattie and wife Minnie with a daughter Agnes about a year old in the Belfast area please?
If I can please thank you for your help on here. I have the subscription to ancestry.co.uk unfortunately no use to me in this area.

1901 Census is not indexed. You can order the census on microfilm through your local LDS library but need to know where, or at least an area, where the family lived to decide which film to order. (note- 'Belfast area' covers a very large area)
Have you tried looking for William & Minnie (might be Mary?) signing Ulster Covenant in 1912? (available to search on PRONI website)

Thank you for your response! I haven't checked for signing of the Ulster Covenanent. Sadly Minnie died about 1910. My gran helped rear the children then they were put in homes. She stayed with Aunts as her father had ill health. But I am sure William Beattie may have signed it. My granddad James Willis did. He married Agnes in 1923.
Thanks for your help.
best wishes

Hi.
Tried a census search for you on
www.belfastfamilyhistory.com
but it seems to be having problems at the moment, may have to many users at the moment. Give it a go in the morning or off peak and see if it works for you. It may have your family if they came from west Belfast or the Shankill area.
Regards,
Dixie

Thanks again Dixiedee I know that a Brussell St was mentioned years ago. Though that could have been when Gran and Granda were first married. They were married in St Mary's Church of Ireland I believe. I will check my files. They lived on Alliance Rd when I was young and I'm pushing 60. I believe they lived there before my Mother came over to England, I know the Shankill area but not sure if Gran lived there. My late Uncle had a mission Hall on Agnes St. The Old Forge. It was in Ligoniel before that. Oh happy memories that brings back.
I haven't checked the Covenant yet.
I am going to send for the cert from Dublin and save some money. Thank you so much again.
cheers

Not sure if you are still looking for the 1901 census details but it's now online and looks like Minnie and daughter Agnes here-

If you can find him by name try searching with initials and age or birthplace, etc.- if he was in an institution he'll be listed that way.
