Is there anyone researching TRENGROVE or PERRY from Cornwall.

I have a John Perry GOLDSWORTHY....
son of: Richard GOLDSWORTHY and Mary PERRY.
Richard and Mary married 31 Aug 1839 at Helston.

Mary is the daughter of William PERRY, miner.
That's all I know about her.

I also have a Mary PERRY who married William PASCOE.
They were the parent of Henry PASCOE b. abt. 1820 in Cornwall.  Again, that's all I know.

G'day ecurb and WELCOME

I have a lot of PERRYs, mainly from Wendron but nothing that links to TRENGROVE.  Which ones are you looking for specifically?  They may not be my line of PERRYs but I will try to help.

G'day Jackie,

I have found Richard GOLDSWORTHY details in my Tree:

Richard GOLDSWORTHY chr. 5 Sep 1809 Wendron
married Mary PERRY (b. 1810) married 31 Aug 1839 Wendron.

Children:

William b. 1840 (chr. 2 Feb 1840)
Richard b. 1843 (chr. 16 Apr 1843)
Mary b. 1845 (chr. 21 Sep 1845)
John b. 1848 (chr. 16 Jul 1848)

Richard's parents were Henry GOLDSWORTHY b. 1770 and Jane Unknown)

Mary PERRY's parents were William PERRY and Mary PERRY.

I have checked on the other Mary PERRY / William PASCOE that you mentioned but I can't find a PERRY/PASCOE marriage.  I have guesstimated their years of birth and will let you know if I find them in the Tree.

Thanks Kris - I do have the marriage of Thomas & Elizabeth who married in the Parish of St Breock, 2 Dec 1840 & as far as I know Elizabeth's parents were John & Marianne born circa 1786 & circa 1795.  Would love to find out something definite about them.

Do they appear in the Census ecurb? I am having a hard time with this. Perhaps if you tell us what you do know about them it may help. Do you have Elizabeth's baptism, was she born at Breock? I think I have Elizabeth's family in Breock in 1841 Father John Mother Mary, oldest child 22, but am not seeing them in 1851 to see their places of birth...............Kris  :D

Kris,
Yes, Richard GOLDSWORTHY's parents were Henry GOLDSWORTHY and Jane CHESTERFIELD.  I've got that line back several more generations.  Thanks for those links.  I didn't know they existed.

CP,
Well, at last we've found a link.  If not with the UREN's it's this one   :)  GOLDSWORTHY is the main line I'm tracing.

ecurb,
I have only found one TRENGROVE in my tree.  Mary b. or bap. 1700 Stithians married John KNUCKEY 9 Sep 1727 Stithians.  We'll find a link one day I'm sure.

Hi Kris

All I have are 10 children of John & Mary(ann) with approx birth years.  All were born in Wadebridge, Parish of St Breock.
Unfortunately this info was passed on to me from another researcher but I was just trying to get back with them & try to confirm a few births.

My direct line is with TRENGROVE from Gwennap who married Elizabeth PERRY.

No, I have not looked up the Census.

Hi ecurb,

John and Mary PERRY are in Wadebridge in 1841 with 6 of their children.

The Cornwall Census is Free Online

PERRY John 55 Carpenter
PERRY Mary 46 Y
PERRY George 22 Y
PERRY Selina 15 Y
PERRY Felix 13 Y
PERRY Paul 10 Y
PERRY Mary 8 Y
PERRY Catherine 6 Y

I note Selina was baptised as Selina Webber PERRY so thought this may be a clue, and suspected Mary may have been Mary Webber but couldn't find it. Then I found this  ;)

John Webber PERREY = Mary Ann BENNETT 24 Sep 1814 St Breock

Cheers Kris  :D

Two didn't make it

Marrianne PERRY was buried St Breock 4 Feb 1825 aged 3 days (Bap 1 Feb)

John Coole/Goole PERRY was buried St Breock 1 Dec 1834 aged 11 years (bap 10 Feb 1823)

So along with your Elizabeth that makes 9.

Did Elizabeth remain in Cornwall? Where and When did she have children?

Cheers Kris

Oh dear - how embarrassing - I have been talking about Elizabeth Perry marrying Thomas Trengrove when infact it was Samuel Thomas Trengrove.
His father was Thomas who married Martha Whitburn.

With regard to Selina Webber Perry - I, too thought that re. the mother's name but she has other siblings with "surnames"  Two of the children have the middle name of Bennett & another one has the middle name of Goole.

Can someone tell me please - when you find something on the Free census, is there no way by double clicking, that you can see more??  Sorry I seem so technically challenged but I am trying.

Kris thanks for the info re. Mary Ann Bennett - explains the middle names of a couple of the children.
Elizabeth (nee Perry) & her husband Samuel Thomas Trengrove left the UK & settled in Geraldine, South Canterbury, New Zealand.
Also the Webber name.
You are amazing!  Thanks again.

Ecurb,

This info is probably not relevant to you - and is based in nearby Perranaworthal - but thought I would add it as my ancestors seemed to have roamed moved a bit through both of these parishes.

I have an Elizabeth Trengrove - born Perranaworthal 1778, daughter of Charles and Mary Trengrove. She married John Harvey in 1802 in Perranaworthal. They lived there and raised at least one child , Paul and probably others. I don't have any other listed children as yet and have no further information on Charles and Mary.
I will of course keep searching ;D

Hi there
I'm also descended from Elizabeth Perry and Samuel Treng(r)ove - from their son Thomas.  I have the Trengoves going back to Thomas and Martha Whitburn and Thomas's parents (I think) but nothing on the Perry or Whitburn side.  Can you help?
Kind regards
Rebecca

Sorry Rebecca - I can't help you out - with regards to Elizabeth Perry. Not even sure if my lot descend from the same branch. As I said in a previous post, my ancestor's maiden name was Elizabeth Trengrove - daughter of Charles and Mary Trengrove - that is all I have for them.

If you can see where they might fit into your tree - please let me know.

Warm regards

Debbie
