Hi
I wonder if anyone can help with this ??? I'm looking for a George Andrews of Dunn's Hill House in Willesborugh, Kent. I haven't got his wife's name but his daughter was Ellen Barker Andrews. She had married James Bayley at Willesborough in 1881.
Many thanks
Jayson ;)

Wow! :o ;D That's awesome! So much information! ;D ;D I'm cock-a-hoop. ;D ;D Thanks very much Sue! :) Drinks are on me! ;D ;)
I've been wanting to do some research on James Bayley's wife for ages and all this has given me a terrific start. Intriguingly Ellen Barker Bayley mentions in her will (dated 1923) a lieutenant Barker of the Royal Navy. I'm thinking that Ellen's mother was a Barker before she married George Andrews.
Thanks once again Sue.

Hi Sue
I already have the censuses relating to James and his family but thanks all the same for looking Sue ;) ;D
In the household headed by Emma Pam (should be Pain) there is a Harriet Barrs aged 33 who I'm almost certain was James Bayley's sister but I see this Harriet was born in Lancashire not Worcestershire as James's sister was:-\ In her will Ellen Barker Bayley mentions leaving - I think it was a painting - something relating to lieutenant Barker who she described as being "an ancestor" to her eldest son.
The only person I've never been able to trace on the 1841/1851 census was John Salmon Bayley. He was the father of James Bayley and committed suicide in London (Fleet Street) in 1859. He was born in Bere Ferrers, Devon in 1827 and was the younger brother of the Emma Pain you found in Hampshire.
Family certainly keeps us all busy :) ::) Thanks once again, Sue, for your help with this ;)

Hi Jayson
I am a descendant of George Andrews and Ellen Barker. I have the Andrews family tree going back to 1580. If I can help you with anything, please let me know. I would also be interested in what you have. I also have photographs of George and Ellen
Regards
Roger Andrews
