This is a picture of my grandfather's brother, Walter, a British Home Child, (the older gentleman) come to Canada in 1907. It is the only one I have of him. Can anything be done to improve the quality of this picture? Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.
PS... can anyone tell me about the uniform the younger child is wearing? Was that a popular fashion back in those days.... I'm thinking this picture was probably taken around 1930ish??

Hi Gemmee....If you're having problems posting...refer to the scanning and posting thread at the top of the board...this will give you Cazza's excellent scanning tutorial that will tell you everything you need to know about posting pics in an easy to understand way..

Hi This is just very quickly adjusted in photoshop ... no restoring done yet but it would be better if you can rescan the pic at a minimum of 300 dpi ..Will have a look after the footie !!

Sorry, I'm not ignoring you... my service has been down for the past 5 days... thanks to all of you already for posting the photos.. I'm still trying to figure how to get to the 300 dpi.... I have one of those all-in-one machines (printer/scanner/copier)-- just got it, so I'm still trying to figure out how it works... Will get back to you again if I'm successful at getting to the 300 dpi.... thanks... gail

Hi Gail...have a look at your scanner's specifications...some of the all-in-ones won't do as high as 300 dpi.
Cheers,
China
