Hello Ken,
what a lovely surprise after so long. I know nothing of this side of the Innes family so anything you would like to share would be great.
I am guessing that your Sarah is the daughter of John & Bridget?
Myself and a second cousin in Scotland have traced the line back to the early 1700's and have had some very good imput from another member in Canada.
My tree only has about 700+ that you would be welcome to look at if you are interested.
Welcome to rootschat. do you visit the chat room? there are many very good members that are very willing to help so if you havent gone in there its a great place to go.I go in occationally as Bart.
Love to hear from you

Hi Lynn,
Thanks for the welcome, I haven't been to the chat rooms yet but I'll take your advice and check it out, I'm still a novice at this type of research and still finding my feet. It will be good to bounce ideas and questions off others, especially those with more experience
Yes, Sarah Ann is the daughter of John & Bridget, I have seen some of the Innes research that you have done on ancestry.com and must say it's quite impressive, well done! The only info that I had on the Innes was some notes that one of Sarah's daughters had written a number of years ago and copy of a John Innes obituary from 1913 which I'm sure you have probably seen.
I'd love to share any info that you'd be interested in, I have a tree on ancestry.co.uk but to be honest I'm not sure what info is public or if you have already managed to scrape some info from there, let me know and we'll figure out what you need and how we can share.
best
