Can anyone give me any information on a place called Boxen Bower near Sarn Powys. My Grandfather was born there. Anything would be helpful.

Hi
There's a little map of it's location here:
http://www.lgbc-wales.gov.uk/community/powys/powys_appendix_I_e.pdf
If you enlarge it to 200% + and look at bottom left, you'll see what looks like a small hamlet called Boxen Bower.
Regards
Gadget
PS - not sure if you know and apologies if you do, Sarn is often referred to as Ceri or Kerry

There's also an old Rootsweb thread about it:

I was born at Boxen Bower, and my parents still live within a few miles - I will be passing there this weekend. There are 3 cottages at Boxen Bower, do you know which one your grandfather was at? What is his name and do you know approximately when he was there - I will ask my parents if they know anything.

My Grandfathers name was William Walter Bishop. Its shows on the 1901 census Boxen Bower as the address. Think it was no 1. He had 3 sisters. He was born on 1899. His mother is buried in Sarn . She died when he was very young.
Any information you find will be appreciated.
