Thanks CU; I thought it must be soon because there's an article about her in my newspaper today.

Must set the recorder ... hope I do it right.

Don't worry liz, they are usually repeated a few times.

The Natasha Kaplinsky one sounds like it's going to be especially moving in terms of her story - though the reviewer in the Radio Times said they found her a bit unapproachable and closed off despite all the tears she shed during the filming...

I'm especially looking forward to Griff Rhys Jones and also hoping that they have not 'shelved' the Boris Johnson episode (I heard or read somewhere they would not show it due to the forthcoming London Mayor Elections).

Boris Johnson does not appear in the list of celebrities for the coming series (page 22 of this week's Radio Times) which seems to confirm the rumour that his episode has been dropped.

I guess somebody must have posted this already
but
WDYTYA? starts again tomorrow Thurs 6th Sep at 9pm BBC1
I wish they'd have a 'non-celebrity' version of this programme
I am sure there are many ' non celebs' like us who have far more interesting roots!
Hope someone from the BEEB is listening in

cheshiremog - BBC are repeating Family Ties the "series tracing ordinary people's origins" (Radio Times). First one tonight (05.09.07) BBC2 11.20pm; then Monday 10.09.07 and Tuesday 11.09.07 same time.
First shown BBC4 when previous WDYTYA was on.

He wasn't shown amongst the celebrities in the opening credits, so it appears they have. Hopefully, though, if they've already filmed it they'll make it into a special akin to that we had earlier in the year with Nicky Campbell. I'd sincerely hope they do. I was looking forward to Boris' episode more than anyone else's this series.

IT was a very moving episode - I hope we never stop crying about the atrcities these people suffered. However I also think the family would have already known most of this - Natasha's father was a highly educated man and would have known I feel. Did they mention his parents ? It seemed to leap back to his grandparents. I would have been interested to know if he saw his parents during his 20 years of exile ?

Has anyone noticed whether it will be repeated during the week?
Thursday's are no good for me :(

The radio times website doesn't have any repeats listed - just next two programmes (13 & 20 Sept) - may be worth checking in a week's time for any late repeats.

Thanks for looking anyway, that was kind of you.
Steph :)
