Title: 1841 census - Fort
Post by: cmcmull on Friday 31 August 07 02:25 BST (UK)
Hello
Can I please request a lookup for Robert b 1774 in Yorkshire and Jenny or Jane b 1776 Fort.  They were probably in Preston but had formerly lived in Over Wyresdale.
Thanks, Carmel

Thanks Cazay That is them - same street as 1851- I got the Bolland Yorkshire  birthplace from it.  I didn't have Alice and Mark although have come across a Mark somewhere so now some more work to find where they belong.
Best Wishes, Carmel

I'll mention this just in case you didn't know and it applies:

it seems to me that Bolland must have been the pronunciation of Bowland.  I've come across that spelling a number of times in relation to my ancestors from Bowland (one of the most beautiful areas of England in my view, but I'm biased.)

Aulus

I have to agree the Bowland is the most beautiful valley I have travelled through. Well worth a visit  :)
